A West Yorkshire derby is allways well worth checking out, and tonights should be no exception.

Hookers- Adam O’Brien vs Matt Parcell

Two players with two very different stories. Parcell has been a revelation for Leeds this season. The 23 year-old has been everything Leeds have been looking for in a hooker- great distribution, great support play, and solid in defence. O’Brien, a year older, has not been a consentient presence in the giants side, but has always been highly regarded in the sport. Whilst the formbook would suggest Parcell will win the battle around the ruck area, expect O’Brien to put up a study defence.

Stand-offs- Danny Brough vs Danny McGuire

Two players who have seen and done it all in the game. Both are in the latter half of their careers but that doesn’t mean they don’t bring energy and excitement to games. Both are architects of the highest order and seeing them duke it out is always worth checking out. Brough always seems to produce the goods against Leeds, no matter what the occasion. Will tonight be another case of that? Or will McGuire, in the final stretch of his Leeds career, out think and out fight his opposite number 6?

Back row- Michael Lawrence vs Jimmy Keinhorst

Two players who didn’t start off in the back row but have made the transition with ease. Lawrence, raw boned and rugged, is a handful for any side he comes up against. Keinhorst, likewise, started out as a centre and the lines he runs are exceptional at times. Both can produce some crunching tackles when it counts as well. Back row is often the engine room of a side, so which of these two can impose themselves on the game will be key.
