Over the past 5 years Rugby AM have established themselves as a leading brand within Rugby League committed to showcasing the players, fans and future stars in order to grow the game of Rugby League. Our new Rugby AM Minis academies are our commitment to inspire the future stars of the game at a early age ensuring they engage with Rugby League whilst having fun and learning new skills with their parents and other children.
The Rugby specific sessions will be delivered by experienced coaches and are tailored to all abilities; both boys and girls, aged 3-6. The aims of the sessions are to prepare the children with the skills and confidence for community club rugby (U7’s). Skills coached include: passing, play-the-ball, tag rugby, evasion, kicking and catching, teamwork and communication.
This unique programme also uses multi-skills activities using invasion games and team building activities to develop the children’s physical literacy and fundamental movement skills. Overall this also improves the children’s health and well-being and helps them meet new friends and learn discipline.
Grass roots Rugby League is the lifeblood of the sport and is a key focus for Rugby AM as we aim to expand our reach and services to help develop young players and benefit the community clubs within the game.
The programme involves Rugby AM creating partnerships with local community amateur clubs in order to host Rugby AM Minis academies at the amateur club. Its formation was the next step in the evolution of our community programme. It will engage, inspire, motivate and achieve positive change within our locality.
The aim of the Rugby AM Minis academy is to untimely create a new U7’s team each year at each amateur club. The Rugby AM brand and the partnership with the amateur clubs will also create exposure via social media and TV which in turn will enable to clubs to grow and become more attractive community initiatives. The programme brings together a reputable Rugby brand, amateur clubs and professional Rugby League stars using the power of sport to engage, motivate and inspire the next generation of stars leaving a lasting, positive impact on young people’s lives.
Job Description: Rugby League/Multi-Skills Coaches
Job Title: Rugby League & Multi-Skills Sport Coach
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: Dependant on experience
Hours: Part Time, Casual basis
Rugby AM are seeking to expand its casual coach base to support its delivery of ‘Minis Rugby’ at our Rugby AM Minis Academies as well as Rugby League and Multi-Skills activities in local primary schools, junior Rugby League clubs (Rugby Camps) and Rugby birthday parties.
Those appointed would be expected to deliver a fun filled, action packed, engaging, structured and inclusive sessions whilst building rapport with parents and other coaches.
Possessing a Rugby League level 2 qualification is a essential however, the purpose of these roles is to recruit coaches with wider qualifications of multi-sports and multi-skills in order to facilitate a range of activities.
Coaches will report to Rugby AM Minis Manager.
